I ASKED STUDENTS IN ALL OF MY CLASSES ON FRIDAY IF THEY HAD THE ABILITY TO PRINT THEIR GOD, GODDESS AND MONSTER BOOKLETS AT HOME TO SAVE MY COPY NUMBERS.  I HAD APPROXIMATELY 60 STUDENTS WHO TOLD ME THEY COULD PRINT THE BOOKLET FROM HOME.  THEY NEED TO HAVE IT PRINTED AND IN CLASS ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 4.  THE BOOKLETS ARE TO BE PRINTED ON CARDSTOCK PAPER THAT I AM GIVING TO THE STUDENTS.  I AM GIVING THEM 8 SHEETS.  THE BOOKLETS HAVE TO BE PRINTED FRONT AND BACK. ( I AM BUYING THE CARDSTOCK PAPER WITH MY OWN MONEY.)  THE STUDENTS WILL BE USING THESE BOOKLETS IN BOTH SOCIAL STUDIES AND LANGUAGE ARTS CLASSES.  THE BOOKLET IS IN A FOLDER ON MY WEB SITE UNDER MYTHOLOGY BOOKLET.  WE HAD TO SCAN AND SAVE IT IN TWO PARTS.  YOU NEED TO PRINT BOTH PARTS.  I WILL ONLY RUN ENOUGH BOOKLETS FOR THOSE STUDENTS WHO TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT PRINT ONE FROM HOME.




Monday- Today in class we went to the Media Center Computer Lab to work on our final drafts of our "I AM"  poems .  Any student who finished could begin working on their God,Goddess, Monster Research.

There will be no notebook check tomorrow.  We did not have enough items to warrant a check.  I did give them notebook check number 4 which will include items that students will complete this week.  Our next weekly notebook check will be Tuesday, Oct. 4th.

HW-  Mighty Mt. Olympus reading and Questions  REMEMBER THAT FINAL I AM POEMS WITH SCRAPBOOK PAGES FINISHED ARE DUE ON THURSDAY.  THIS IS COUNTING AS A TEST GRADE. PARENTS WHO WISH TO DO AN I AM POEM FOR EXTRA CREDIT WILL FOLLOW THE SAME FORMAT.  PARENTS DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE SCRAPBOOK PAGE.  THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILD TO TALK ABOUT YOUR FAMILY HISTORY.

Tues.  MEDIA CENTER-  Collected Mighty Mt. Olympus  Finishing Final Drafts of I Am poems and Scrapbook pages.  Working on Research Gods, Goddesses, Monsters.

HW- What is a myth?  reading and questions

Wed.  MEDIA CENTER  Collected What is a Myth?  Finishing I AM poems and scrapbook pages.
Cont. to work on Research.

HW  Final I AM poems with scrapbook page are DUE TOMORROW. 
Because we do not have school on Friday,  Students may turn in a current event tomorrow.

Thurs.  COLLECT I AM / SCRAPBOOK PAGES
FINAL DAY FOR RESEARCH IN THE MEDIA CENTER FOR GODS, GODDESS MONSTERS!
STUDENTS SHOULD BE READY TO PRESENT ON MONDAY!!!!

I showed the students in class today how to use Dictionary.com for the definitions on Ancient Greece.  We did a few examples in class.  Students had a chance to work on their definitions in class today if they were finished with their research.

HW- Ancient Greece Vocabulary-  I will not take this up for a grade, but we will have a quiz on this vocabulary on TUESDAY.

FRI.  Teacher Workday  MYTHOLOGY BOOKLETS THAT STUDENTS SAID THEY COULD PRINT FROM HOME NEED TO BE IN CLASS ON MONDAY!!!!!
